Description: The chosen Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for the site's performance is the Conversion Rate. The Conversion Rate is aligned with the site's goal of driving user actions and achieving desired outcomes, such as purchases, sign-ups, or downloads. Success will be reflected in an increased conversion rate, indicating that a higher percentage of site visitors are taking the desired action.

5. Measurement Plan and Rationale for KPI

Measurement Plan: The Conversion Rate will be measured by tracking the ratio of conversions (desired actions) to the total number of site visitors. This can be calculated by dividing the number of conversions by the total number of site visits and multiplying it by 100 to obtain a percentage.

 

 

Rationale: The Conversion Rate is a crucial KPI as it directly reflects the effectiveness of the site in driving user engagement and achieving desired outcomes. By monitoring and optimizing the Conversion Rate, we can assess the impact of site changes, marketing campaigns, and user experience improvements. Increasing the Conversion Rate indicates successful user interactions and supports the overall goal of the site.

6. Hosting Technologies

During the research and evaluation of available technologies for hosting my portfolio website, I considered several options, including shared hosting, virtual private servers (VPS), cloud hosting, and dedicated servers. Each option had its advantages and considerations. However, after careful analysis, I have decided to choose cloud hosting for my portfolio website.

  • Cloud hosting aligns perfectly with my site plans and goals for several reasons. Firstly, cloud hosting offers scalability, allowing my website to handle increased traffic and accommodate future growth without any disruption. This flexibility is crucial as I anticipate potential spikes in traffic due to portfolio updates or increased exposure. Secondly, cloud hosting provides high availability and reliability, ensuring that my website remains accessible to visitors at all times, which is essential for a positive user experience and professional reputation. Thirdly, cloud hosting offers easy management and maintenance, enabling me to focus more on creating and updating my portfolio content rather than dealing with server configurations and updates. Lastly, cloud hosting provides cost-efficiency by offering pay-as-you-go or subscription-based pricing models, allowing me to optimize my expenses based on my website's usage and needs.
